Clarity on my Tumblrs : )
Hey Everyone, Just so keep it straight, because you know, even I get confused sometimes, this blog was originally an effort to make a online space focused on audio clips I recorded. My other tumblr, weathermaker.tumblr.com, is going to continue to be the place to look at my art, and I will return Visible Headphones to a place where you can listen to my art. Just in case we were all confused :/

New acquaintance and work/life connection Bristol Baughan is a ver inspired woman. She’s the producer of many films, and for being as incredibly young as she is, she has already won Emmy’s, a TED fellowship, and been nominated for an Academy Award. Check out Racing Dreams directed by Marshall Curry in 2009, its now on DVD.

That means getting my hands dirty with bugs, armature wire, hot glue, and other materials to make insect puppets that consolidate various insect bodies...

breaking my fourth wall
I am finding that recordings and documents are getting a little redundant, but its not the collection of material, its my experience that is beginning already to wane. This is my fault, as I am a creature of habit the same as anyone, and when forced into a new position, want to create the most security and comfort I am able to grab. Maybe we all know this, as though its some sort of...
Mystical Ordinare
I go to the train after a day long planning session of a film I am working on, and sit across from an African man who has fallen asleep. Moments later, an Arabic violinist dressed completely in black steps on the train. He assumes a posture which says two things, first “I am going to play for you” and then “When I’m done I’m going to ask you for money”. I...
